WOW! That is all I could say when I entered through the gate greeted by the lush gardens and fountain accompanied by a shimmering swimming pool nestled within the beautiful U-shaped structure and patio cover surrounding every suite. I was immediately greeted with a smile and welcomed by Dean, one of the owners as he made me feel right at home and accompanied me to my suite.
As a designer, and owner of T. Michaels Designs in Murrieta. I specialize in complete home, kitchen and bath renovations. I am not usually impressed with others renovations though how the Alexander has been completely renovated and restored inside and out, I was quite pleased with my selection of accommodations. When I walked into my suite, AKA villa as I liked to call it, everything was impeccable and complete right down to blue burry muffins which were extremely tasty and fruit on the kitchen counter to feel at home. I usually stay in higher end hotels and resorts. I would rate the Alexander Inn at a 10 star and compare the interior furnishings, decor and bedding that of the "W" and St. Regis hotels. As far as customer service, I would also rate at a 10 with an extra 0 = 100. Dean went above and beyond to answer every question and assist me in local showrooms I was looking for along with an Internet search for me that I truly appreciated which is something I never received from the "W" or St. Regis, especially without an extra charge.
My two bedroom "villa" was to my surprise very roomy. The living room felt like a sun room adjacent to the pool and gardens. There was a complete full sized kitchen that was very accommodating along with everything you would need to make a fabulous meal. The bathroom was very roomy and had an abundance of storage and counter space along with a full sized washer and dryer.
The master bedrooms were spacious with beautiful draperies and furnishings. The bed and coverings were extremely comfortable and I had not slept that well in a long time. All in all, this is a fantastic place to stay and perfect for any full sized "Family" or friends wishing to visit in Palm Springs. I cannot wait to return. Thank you Dean and Al.
